Post Graduate and Research Department of Physics
In 2009, the Department of Physics was established with the B.Sc., Degree Course. The M.Sc. degree program was established in 2011, elevating it to the postgraduate level. Since 2016, the Physics department has been a recognized research center with affiliation to Periyar University. Our graduate and postgraduate students received gold medals and a lot of ranks in university examinations held by Periyar University Salem-11 in Tamilnadu, India. Three laboratories in the Physics department have been updated with modern equipments.
Our department has received 6 gold medals and 55 university rankings in undergraduate, graduate, master’s degree and M.Phil., Degree Programmes. The faculties work hard to help students enhance their talents. The department strives for students’ entire development by integrating them in a variety of academic and non-academic programs such as seminars, exhibitions, workshops, cultural events, and guest lecturers among others. The department has a strong academic record in both university exams and placement. Many of our curriculum’s alumni have outstanding professions in India and abroad as Researchers, Executives, Professors, Lecturers, Teachers, and so on.
Our faculties use all teaching aids like PPT, working models, dummy models, and black board and chalk. Every year our department conducts the seminars, E- Quiz, workshops and may skill development programs for student development. Many of the students presented and participated in seminars, E- Quiz, workshops and skill development programs in various organizations. Internship and field visit and project are allowed to our students.
