Post Graduate and Research Department of Mathematics
The Department of Mathematics was established in the year of 2009-10 with the recognized course of B.Sc & M.Sc degrees. The mathematics department also recognized M.Phil course since 2012. There are 12 faculty members are in various fields of Mathematics. Our undergraduate and postgraduate students won gold medals and a number of ranks in University examinations conducted by Periyar University Salem-11, Tamil Nadu, India.
Our Department has achieved 3 Gold medals and 52 university ranks in UG, PG and M.Phil., Degree Programmes so far. The faculties supported and guided students for their Welfare and development of skills. The department involved in motivating the students by conducting various programs academic and non-academic like National level seminars, Workshops, Exhibitions, Guest lectures, cultural events, etc.. And also we are conducting certificate courses and values add on courses every year.
Our department students made records in both University examinations and placement. Many of our students had placed in Top companies and also appointed as a government staffs.
Eligibility for UG Mathematics Admisson
- The under graduate academic program is 3 Years long. Each year is divided in to two semesters. The entire course consists of 6 semesters, and general eligibility is 10+2 passed from a recognized board with PCM subjects (Mathematics or Business mathematics or Computer Maths or Statistics) from a recognized institute.
OBJECTIVE
- To provide students with knowledge and insight in mathematics so that they are able to work as mathematical professionals.
- To prepare them to pursue higher studies and contact research in math field.
- To train students to deal with the problems faced by industry through knowledge of mathematics and scientific computational techniques.
- To introduce the fundamentals of mathematics to students and strengthen the students logical and analytical ability.

- To transform young people to become motivated professionals but also to contribute to the development of the nation.
- To impart of quality mathematics education and to inculcate of the spirit of research through innovative teaching and research methodologies.
- Our Vision is to achieve high standards of excellence in generating and propagating knowledge in Mathematics. To provide a mathematical that combines exact academics with pleasure of discovery.
- To provide an environment where students can learn and become competent users of mathematics, to understand the use of mathematics in other disciplines and apply the same in day to day life.
Eligibility for PG Mathematics Admisson
- The post graduate academic program is 2 Years long. Each year is divided in to two semesters. The entire course consists of 4 semesters, and general eligibility for a candidate who has passed B.Sc., Mathematics / B.Sc., Mathematics (Computer Applications) degree of Periyar University or any of the above degree of any other University accepted by the Syndicate equivalent thereto.

- To enable students in other majors to gain a greater level of quantitative literacy as part of a foundation for lifelong learning and critical thinking, so that they can fully participate in the deliberations of an advanced technological society.
